Jeep Safari

Trail # 1: East of Madeira Tour 

Jeep/Motorcycle  Off Road Tour

From Funchal the jeep goes through Poiso, Ribeiro Frio, to reach the northern side of the Island, where the adventure begins.
Mountain tracks take you to the magnificent views of Cova da Roda, Cascalho and Boca das Voltas (near Santana). Lunch is “Espetada” eaten in a picnic style in the mountains. You can help cook if you insist... After lunch we return to Funchal

Our tour takes us along paths and trails that lead us into dense forest and discovery of ancient traditions in time past. We will appreciatte the natural environment  and some country living. Some of the old homes and the cultured wicker fields, that provide the material for the handmade baskets of Madeira, will also be high on the agenda.

Trail # 2: Photo Safari (self drive)

Discover the pleasure of driving a 4 wheel drive vehicle on fantastic scenery following the mountain trails. Departure from Funchal/Caniço in the morning heading for Santana (East) taking a course which is accessible to any beginner. A light meal will be served at lunch time.

Jeep & Boat Safari

Enjoy the crisp mountain air and the fresh sea breeze by combining a half day Jeep Safari with a sailing trip aalong the coast.
You may want to take either the Safari or the Boat trip first, and meet up at the village of Ribeira Brava for lunch at  seaside restaurant. The Journey back home will be on the alternative respective vehicle. Clearly a winner this one.

Trail # 3: Western Madeira

Departure will be from Funchal or Caniço early in the morning. The route will pass Ribeira Brava  and then through a popular trail course where many have appreciatted the the unique landscape of Fanal, of Chão da Ribeira, and of Seixal. After ou meal we will return to Funchal or Caniço respectively.

Four Wheel Biking

We will be able to provide you with this type of adventure as soon as we receive our new 4 wheel motorbikes in hand.

Trail # 4: Central Madeira

Staring from Funchal in the afternoon the  jeep goes to Estreito de Câmara de Lobos ( a great wine growing district), Jardim de Serra, the magnificent valley of Curral das Freiras, and to the famous resting place of Boca dos Namorados (the Lovers Nest). We will then continue to trail on to Quinta Grande, a large and charming mountainous and agricultural area. After this we will drop in at Câmara dos Lobos for a warming “Poncha” - a well-nigh famous drink celebrated all over Madeira.
