1827 Bual & 1839 Verdelho Straight Vintage
I have got 11 bottles of Quinta de Serrado Bual Vintage 1827 (in cask for 108 years, then in demijohn and bottled in 1988) and 13 bottles of Oscar Acciaioly Verdelho Vintage 1839 (in its original tissue paper) all of which I bought at the Christies sale in 1989. This has been perfectly cellared and is superb stuff which I drank for years at Sunday lunch parties having acquired 3 dozen of each. I stopped however when I realised that it was fetching £600+ at auction. It has more recently been going for £750-£1100 a bottle. Michael Broadbent gives both 5 stars. Does anyone have any interest in buying some or all of it?
