The Hortensia Tea House perches on a level above most of the garden. The general feel tends toward the rustic - with a touch of family homeliness.

Most of the plants, flowers and bulbs were planted here by Ricardo ( or Richard in English) and his wife Gorete.

This year special gardeners from the Funchal botanical gardens will help organise the garden for the summer and years ahead. Special bulbs have been flown in from several places, including even, Switzerland!
