I've just returned from Madeira, and have collected my two cats from the Cattery. However I can't help thinking about a stray cat that befriended me whilst staying in the Esteito de Calhetta area.

I've emailed the main animal welfare organisation. It is a small white tom cat with blue eyes and very friendly, though emaciated and with runny eyes. It stays around a Villa which can be found by leaving the VE3 by the pharmacy on the junction marked Jardim do Mar/ Paul do Mar. Take the next Right, then turn left and follow the road over the expressway. At the top of the road turn Right. You'll pass a mini-market/cafe-bar on your left, and the Villa is on the Right just past some green netting. The Villa is painted pink from the front.

I would like to think this Cat could have a good home. (If necessary in England) He really won my heart.
