Or the old english church around the corner, built in the style of early Freemason architecture. Lengthy and lazy sun dappled afternoons can be spent at the "Museu Quinta das Cruzes" - a 2 minute walk away, where studious and reminiscent inspection can be done on antiques and old silver. Visit the window of Christopher Columbus - an article of astonishing sculptural beauty and value in the gardens of the "Museu Quinta das Cruzes", read a book next to the Statue of Phillipa of Lancaster, the english wife of King João I, in the english church gardens and gaze upwards to the Fort São Jorge. Or visit the swans at the municipal gardens another minute away. Or relax under our care in the comfort of your room...

And, just in case you need it, even more points of interest for the tourist or traveller:

Porta 33 Art Gallery (for Contemporary Art) just around the corner, on the other side of the same block where the residencials are situated. This gallery is considered to be in the top 5 of all art gelleries in Portugal.

3 minutes walk away from the Municipal theatre.
Walk straight down the road all the way down to the famous Largo do Colégio. Here you will find the old Jesuit Church, Municipality Buildings in traditional Portuguese Architectural Style, and another Arts Museum.
Vegetarians will enjoy the Biologos restaurant and shop nearby.
For meat eaters - the shop where it is renowned to make the best hamburgers in all Madeira is just opposite us.
But a more traditional fare can be recommended at typical Madeiran Restaurants nearby - some with old Portuguese Fado music.
The nicest bookshop in Madeira "Livraria Inglesa" is also situated down the road.
And the old photographic museum of Vicentes which is on top of the bookshop is a must !
